About Me & How My Passion Began
Hi there! My name’s Namrah Asif. I’m 19 and currently, in my last year of A levels where I’ve chosen Information Technology (IT), Mathematics and Arts and Design as my majors and I couldn’t be more satisfied with it! You might be wondering, “How so?” well firstly, I’m quite intrigued by the fields that IT offers and as my dream, I would absolutely LOVE to pursue a successful career in it (which hopefully I get to) because I’ve been working hard- putting my blood, sweat and tears when it comes to my assignments, portfolios, exams and whatnot (a little dramatic I know) but honestly, no matter how draining it gets, I can’t help but enjoy the process of learning and growing with all the things that I love and what I’m interested in because at the end of the day, it truly is a privilege and by that I mean, accessing the opportunities that our educational paths offer to us. A blessing in disguise, despite how harsh it may feel.
Other than that, my hobbies include making beautiful and breath-taking art pieces which I feel like has been so out of touch for many of us students AND adults, since our busy lives don’t really give time for our personal activities. It’s a shame but what can I say. Despite my busy life as a single child, I find art as a therapeutic activity.
Distinctive Style
I feel a spiritual connection when it comes to art because it takes you into a completely different focus, perspective and feeling- one that feels almost like an escape from the harsh reality of this world. That’s why I admire it so much! What matters in art is the dedication, time, focus and energy that you devote to your pieces, even if it’s just a simple painting or a sketch. It comes with a variety of colors and mediums such as oil, acrylic, gauche and water and for sketching the different shades of blacks and whites. Each carries a different emotion, perspective and texture which adds to the appeal.
